Neurodevelopmental assessments

With extensive experience working across NHS, independent, and multidisciplinary settings, our Multi Disciplinary Team specialises in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability (Learning Disability), and associated neurodevelopmental presentations. Our work integrates developmental history, clinical observation, cognitive assessment, adaptive functioning, and collateral information to provide comprehensive, person-centred formulations. Most recently, we have contributed to a Humber-wide initiative focused on reducing unnecessary hospital admissions for children and adults with Autism and Learning Disability. In this role, we work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, local authorities, and community services to strengthen preventative support, enhance crisis pathways, and ensure that individuals receive the right care in the right place.

Our team have particular expertise in complex presentations involving co-occurring mental health difficulties, trauma, attachment-related concerns, behavioural challenges, and prenatal exposure to alcohol and substances. Assessments are conducted in a neuroaffirmative, compassionate, and evidence-based manner, recognising each individual's strengths as well as areas of difficulty.
